Hi! My name is Michael DeVowe. Thanks for reading my blog.
Currently, I have the privilege of working as a freelancer in Medina, MN. When I’m not working on a client project, I’m either reading web news, out taking pictures, producing a video, or playing the piano. But for the most part, I’m at my computer all day.
The purpose of this blog is to provide others with new content along the lines of Web Design, Photography, and Videography. If you find an article or post interesting, feel free to leave a comment – I would love to hear from you! Or, you can contact me on my homepage and portfolio site.

Morning Michael…nice site…very helpful videos. I’ve a question for you and would appreciate your feedback. I’m producing a documentary; “Carl Lutz-Dangerous Diplomacy”, shoot mostly on DV-Cam, 4×3. I starting to shoot reenactment and have several opportunities to shoot on different formats, HD, DLSR, etc. I don’t want to stretch the 4×3, but PBS is requesting a 9×12 aspect ratio. Any thoughts…thanks…
Michael
AND I appreciate the 1st John reference…One of my fav’s is 1st John 1:9!!!!
Hi Michael,
I’m glad you’ve found my tutorials to be helpful!
I would recommend shooting HD 16:9 and resize and crop the 4:3 DV footage. Does this make sense?
-Michael
